Projects
Our varied contracts take us all over the country. For example we have completed
major projects in most counties throughout England and Wales, including a small
housing development in Holyhead, knock down rebuild petrol stations as far away
as Dover, and Peterhead, as well as smaller jobs, testing and breakdown works that
can take us literally anywhere in the country.
Below is a small selection of some of our projects.
PROJECT: Frasers Budgens of Marlborough
This was a new build project for regular returning customer, The Fraser Group. It is a large,
perfectly situated filling station, incorporating an internal Subway outlet, 4 pumps, a carwash,
automated canopy and perimeter lighting, as well as ample valeting areas.
The real focus for us at this site was the lighting. Everything from the retail and staff area,
through to canopy, carwash and flood lighting are all LED. Making this site eco-friendly and
energy efficient, with the added bonus of being visually stunning.
PROJECT: Wraxall Service Station
Yet another regular returning customer, Tout Ltd, tasked us with the new build of a petrol
filling station in Nailsea, Bristol. This proved to be an excellent challenge for our lads, as
there was to be no suspended ceiling to hide our installation. This meant that containment, and
concealment was key.
As always, our electricians rose to the challenge, and produced a superb
looking shop, incorporating feature, pendant, and track lighting, as well as a subway outlet.
Outside there is a carwash, and 5 pumps. We have recently returned to this site and upgraded
the canopy lighting to LED, which is of course fully automated.
PROJECT: Kwik Fit
Over the years we have been involved in the upgrade and refurbishment of over 20 of Kwik Fit’s sites. We were involved in a major project, in which alongside a main contractor, we installed new MOT bays in various centres nationwide. We are now involved in the major refurbishment and re-image of Kwik fit centres, taking centres such as Bristol, Hamworthy and Plymouth, from standard sites into the more well equipped premier sites.
PROJECT: Synnertec, Bristol
On this project we were tasked with replacing a complete lighting scheme comprising of 60 luminaires within a postal sorting warehouse unit. The project had various issues to address, the main one being that the fittings are suspended 8 metres above the ground. Add to this the fact that some of the luminaires are suspended over equipment which is worth thousands of pounds, and it is clear to see that accurate planning and health and safety were essential in getting this job done safely within the time scale of 5 working days. A safe system of work was put in place, and our electricians liaised with the client throughout the week with regard as to where they could work and at what times. The access equipment was correctly selected and operated safely by our fully IPAF trained team, and we completed the project with a day to spare, much to the delight of our client.
